Why didn’t this website mention about the crimes committed by the Hindu Ramsevaks all thoughout the Journey? Why didn’t they mention that a Muslim girl was abducted by those Hindu Terrorists? This is the main reason why the train was stopped. Below are few of the evidences.
Dr. Amar Singh, a member of parliament from Samajwadi Party, spoke with two of the Hindu victims of the train-burning incident in Godhra. They revealed that, “all along the journey these Ramsevaks (the Hindu militants) were behaving like Gundas (thugs). They wouldn’t pay for what they had bought from the vendors. On stations they would chant anti-Muslim rhymes and slogans, insulting Muslim Holy places. There was teasing as well of both fellow passengers and women on the platforms.” This fact-finding delegation, comprised of Rajbabbar (M.P. Samajwadi), Shabana Azmi (M.P.) and Aziz Burni (Editor of a leading Urdu news paper, Rashtriya Sahara), was one of the first groups to arrive in the strife-torn area. They visited the hospital and there they found these two victims (from a Hindu family) of the Godhra incident.
Muslims in the area add another point to this sad story. They say things got out of hand when the daughter of an old Muslim man with a small tea stall at the train station was kidnapped. The Hindu militants argued with this old man, beat him up and pulled his beard. The 16-year-old daughter who was also present at the station came forward as her father was being beaten and tried to save him from the Hindu militants. She kept pleading and begging to them to stop beating her father and leave him alone. But instead of listening to her woes, the Hindu militants lifted the young girl, took her inside their compartment and closed its door.
When the train started to move out of the platform of Godhra’s railway station while the old man was banging on the compartment doors, pleading for his daughter to be left alone, two other vendors jumped into the last bogey and pulled the emergency break to stop the train. By the time the train halted completely, it was about one kilometer away from the railway station.
These two men then came to the bogey in which the girl was and started to bang at the door asking the militants to release the girl. Hearing the chaos, people in the vicinity near the tracks started to gather near the train. The boys and the mob (which included women) that had now gathered near the compartment requested the Hindu militants to return the girl. But instead of doing this, they started closing their windows. This infuriated the mob and they retaliated by pelting stones at the compartment.
@Abdul- dear brother- all that you mentioned is UTTER FABRICATION. There is NOT AN IOTA of evidence for all this. The so-called ‘fact finding mission’ that you have quoted consisted of anti-Hindu fanatics who have no credibility. You are insulting the dead karsewaks by making such false on the dead- who are not even alive to refute those character assassinating charges.
This was all fabricated in a FAKE eMAIL falsely attributed to a PTI journalist- who denied ever having written anything like this- and said that he had infact written EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE of what the fake mail claims.
The Karsewaks consisted of 25 women and 15 children- these people will never do anything like this. There was a girl named Sophia who they accused of being abducted- but when Justice Nanavati questioned her- it became crystal clear that there was no abduction, she was tutored by some people to falsely claim so.
You have not stated how in 5 minutes 2000 Muslims could have gathered at Godhra in Signal Falia having got petrol bombs and acid bombs. The karsewaks DID NOTHING OBJECTIONABLE AT ALL IN THE JOURNEY- INSULTING THE DEAD MARTYRED KARSEWAKS will result in more sins.

The truth is- Ehsan Jafri signed his own death warrant by firing on the Hindu crowd- (which was an indication of his communalism-though he fired in self-defence- his act drove the crowd mad) but we never blame Jafri for signing his death warrant as it insults the dead.

The Gujarat police prepared 18 chargesheets — one main and 17 supplementary — on the Godhra incident and thousands of pages of fictionalised narration, a deadly concoction of fake eyewitness accounts and coerced and bribed testimonies. Yes, all of this was done to hide the truth of what really happened. I know how muslims of villages react. If you kidnap a muslim girl, infront of his father near the station you will definitely face retaliation from the villagers. No newspaper reported the fact why the train was stopped. Muslims don’t just go around attacking trains with stones. There is a very strong reason why it happened. Don’t think that you can fool everyone in the world.
The Nanavati Commission Report is based on untenable theories and statements of bribed witnesses. In a painstaking investigation, Tehelka rebuts the report and uncovers the deliberate and malicious subversion of the truth by the govt.
After the new forensic evidence was made public, state Congress Party leaders alleged that the incident “could have been motivated by the ruling BJP and the VHP to raise communal passions.”
“These people (BJP-VHP) are capable of burning their own innocent Hindus and getting votes in the name of religion. This is not a new thing and the coming days could prove that the BJP and VHP masterminded the Godhra massacre,” said Shankarsinh Vaghela, senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister.
well- I am not going to argue any further. Only one point I will say is that Nanavati Commission was appointed by the Supreme Court’s choice of judges- not Narendra Modi’s. As for Tehelka sting operation- this site has a great report on it.
If you trust statements of Congress leaders like Vaghela- (if VHP torched the train in Godhra- then wheres the question of Muslims being infuriated due to kidnapping of girl? And if girl was kidnapped which resulted in Muslims roasting to death 25 women and 15 children and 19 men- then how can VHP torch the train as alleged by Vaghela?)

Only one thing- also look at the testimony of a 16 year old girl Gayatri Panchal who saw her parents being roasted in front of her eyes- even 13 year old Gyanprakash. And if Muslims were enraged due to kidnapping of a girl- I wonder how 2,000 of them can assemble at 8 AM in the morning in 5 minutes having already managed to secure petrol bombs and acid bombs. The train stopped at Godhra at 7:42 and left at 7:47. I wonder how 2,000 can gather and surround the train FROM BOTH SIDES to prevent karsewaks from running away. If at all there was any such provocation and confrantation and crowd assembling- the Karsewaks would have ran away from the other side of the train at the slightest thought of an attack.
Anyways- I cannot force you to change your beliefs. If you still believe that a girl was kidnapped by the karsewaks (25 women and 15 children kidnapped a girl)I cannot say anything.
@Ajinkya: You have grave misconceptions about the Godhra train incident. And you are falsely alleging that the number of muslims who assembled outside the train was 2000. Someone says 1000, someone says 1500, someone says 500. In fact, these numbers were being reported by the passengers of the train. They were speaking metaphorically as obviously nobody can count the number of people attacking from outside. They just wanted to say that there was a huge crowd. Your Modi govt bribed false witness because they wanted to prove that it was a pre-planned attack by hook or by crook.

COMMISSION TAKES BRIBED PETROL PUMP ATTENDANTS AT FACE VALUE
The Nanavati Commission has relied heavily on the statements made by Ranjitsinh Patel and Prabhatsinh Patel before the Investigating Officer, Deputy SP Noel Parmar, to reach the conclusion that the train fire was the result of premeditated criminal conspiracy. While considering their statements, the commission has also bought the explanation the two offered for why they did not reveal the sale of the petrol in their first statements recorded on April 10, 2002, in which they denied having sold loose petrol between 6 pm of February 26, 2002, and 10 am on February 27, 2002, the time of the shift they were on at the pump. Six months later, before Parmar, the two attendants not only made the sensational claim of having sold 140 liters of loose petrol to the accused, they also claimed that the reason they had said nothing about it before was that they had never been asked about the night of February 26. Now that that evening had been brought into question, they had found it possible to be more forthcoming. This explanation the commission buys, saying in its report, ‘Both these witnesses have explained in their statements why they had earlier told the police that they had not given loose petrol to anyone in a carboy on 26.2.2002.
The same commission refused to accept Sophia Bano Shaikh’s statement about the abduction attempt made on her, despite the fact that she and her family have been consistent in their statements, unlike the two Patels. Worse, one of them is on camera confessing to having been bribed to support the police case.
The commission, though, was quick to requisition the TEHELKA tape on which Ranjitsingh Patel was recorded talking about being paid Rs 50,000 by Parmar for identifying the people he had not sold petrol to, as the accused. Justice Nanavati took no action and made no effort to ascertain the veracity of the tapes and the revelations therein, the revelations which demolished the premise on which the police case rests and on which the commission has based its conclusion that Maulvi Umarji and others hatched a conspiracy to burn the train.
Shame on the LIARS of the so-called Indian democracy system of govt.

1- Babu Bajrangi said- “FIR says I cut open womb of a pregnant woman. I did not do so.”
When he was saying so- TEHELKA LIED THAT “BAJRANGI CONFESSES TO DOING SO- AND BOASTS DOING IT”. This is a serious crime for which Tehelka can be prosecuted.
Also- the post-mortem report of Dr Kanoria has said that the womb was intact. Even if Bajrangi had boasted that he actually cut it open- Tehelka should have cross checked the facts- instead of claiming “Irrefutable proof” and making such a serious charge against Bajrangi.
2- Bajrangi and Suresh Richard claimed that Modi visited Naroda Patiya on 28 Feb. The official record show that he DID NOT VISIT that day. Instead of cross checking- TEHELKA LIED AND ACCUSED MODI OF VISITING PATIYA AND PATTING THE BACK OF RIOTERS. Another serious charge.
These are only 2 of many guilts of Tehelka. What credibility does a report by such a weekly have?
Now on Godhra. Tehelka claimed that Modi labelled as a “Pre planned act of terrorism by one community against another”. This is also false. Modi never named any community. He simply said- “Seems to be a pre-planned act” and NEVER SAID BY A COMMUNITY. Tehelka lies exposed.
Noel Parmar is a CHRISTIAN. He was accused of being anti-Sangh Parivar- and yet he has been labelled anti-Muslim by Tehelka.
TEHELKA LABELS KARSEWAKS TESTIMONIES AS “UNRELIABLE” and karsewaks as “Biased”. 16 year old Gayatri Panchal’s testimony has been COMPLETELY IGNORED BY TEHELKA.
The investigation into the case was led by DIG Rakesh Asthana, now IG and Vadodara Police Commissioner, and conducted by Dy SP Noel Parmar, a Christian officer known for his efficiency.
In fact when Parmar was appointed as investigation officer of the case, many in the Sangh Parivar complained to the government saying that he was a Christian and could play mischief under pressure of the minority lobby. However, the government didn’t change him inspite of such towering pressure.
Both Asthana and Parmar are known as upright and efficient officers and unlikely to toe a purely political line.
As for bribes being paid to petrol pump wallas of Rs 50,000 – this has NO VALUE at all, because the sting operation was held from point of view of a man writing a book on the Hindutva point of view- and recording was done secretly- so these people may have said lies. What is more likely- TEHELKA ITSELF MAY HAVE PAID rs 50,000 to them to falsely claim that they were paid 50,000/-
Another Tehelka lie- no non-karsewak witness saw petrol or kerosene thrown. What rubbish. This is a must read report.

Vijay Sharma, one of the firemen, says haji Bilal had called the fire brigade on the night of February 26 and asked for the names of the firemen who would be on duty the next morning. Coincidentally, that same evening a water tanker attached to the fire station and a fire tender both developed serious engine snags. It would, of course, be naive to think that conspirators depend on coincidences to accomplish their deadly missions. Was this fireman also a VHP man?
TEHeLKA HAS NO CREdIBILITY. Mr Abdul- I will also tell you why Muslims will kill without girl abduction. Because that is what they have done from AD 636 in India when Arabs attacked Thane- and in Godhra they have attacked Hindus since 1927- in 1927, 1946, 1948, 1965, 1980, 1990, and 1992. 4 Hindu teachers including 2 women teachers were cut into pieces in front of kids in November 1990 in Godhra. They did so because they follow the following teachings of the Quran:
1- “Slay them wherever ye find them” (Quran 2:191)
2- When the sacred months are passed- slay the idolators wherever ye find the, take them captive, beseige them, seize them, ambush them.”(Quran 9:5)
3- We will strike terror in the hearts of the disbelievers (3:151)
and hundreds of such passages which promote violence- not for self-defence- but for offence.

Only one answer from me- 2,000 is the number of Muslims as given by Vir Sanghvi- an extremely anti-BJP man in his article “One way ticket” in Hindustan Times. It is also the number given by the Justice Tewatia Committee headed by former Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice D S Tewatia- so it is certainly not a number invented by me. The Tewatia Committe says that the number of Muslims initially was around 1,000 and then it swelled to 2,000. Also- I remember the report of Aaj Tak TV channel on 27 Feb 2002 saying- “Looking at the number of stones thrown- they must have been 1500-2000 people”.

Moreover, the train was scheduled to arrive @ 2:55am and we know that it was delayed. You are so obssessed with -“Kidnapping of a girl” that you do not even condemn the brutal roasting of 59 people in Godhra- 25 women and 15 children- and seem to think that these 25 women and 15 children kidnapped a girl. Also- the girl Sophia Sheikh was not kidnapped at all- her tales had many loopholes as mentioned by Justice Nanavati Commission report and she simply parroted what was told to her days after Godhra.
By the way- you are justifying Godhra roasting of 25 women 15 children and 19 men because of an alleged kidnapping. If kidnapping can justify roasting of Hindus, then roasting of Hindus should justify killing of Muslims in the post-Godhra riots.

As for Deepak- you should know that Dr Togadia has Z+ security. And as for that meeting on 27 Feb night- read the article “Chronology of a crisis” by India Today 18 March 2002. Modi ordered firm steps to be taken to control tense situation that night. He ordered 827 preventive arrests the same day, deployed Rapid Action Force, Centre sent CRPF, Modi personally appealed people to maintain peace the next day, gave shoot-at-sight orders in Godhra- aimed at Hindus who could have retaliated, curfew in Godhra and sensitive places.
As for GODHRA, Muslims falsely spread rumours of kidnapping of a girl. Muslims believe Hindus are fools- worshipping lifeless idols, mud, statues which angers the JEALOUS GOD- and the JEALOUS GOD will throw all idolators into Hell. Muslims consider it their duty to convert idolators to Islam.

By the way- police shot dead 10 Hindus in Ahmedabad on 28 feb, 24 Hindus on 1 March. Police far from turning a blind eye to rioting- saved thousands of Muslims in Sanjeli Bodeli and Viramgam. And as for Pandya speaking against Modi- it was due to his personal grudges against Modi. He spoke out months after the riots and the meeting on 27 Feb. If what he said was true- why did he not say so soon after the meeting? Also Deepak will believe a BJP man for once- even if he was Gujarat’s Home Minister- just because he spoke against Modi.
Mr Ramesh, in order to punish someone, in the court of law substantial evidence is required. Where is the evidence to prove that muslims burned the train? Forensic experts have stated that the fire started from inside the train, not from outside. And it is very apparent to know who was inside the train to start the fire. The kidnapped girl was yelling and shouting for help, so the muslim villagers reacted with stones, not with fire. Dont act like a kid to keep on repeating that there were 25 women and 15 children and they could not kidnap anyone. Your own karsevaks were responsible for the train burning, not the women or children. Compartment no S-6 two other compartment of the Sabarmati Express was carrying the kar sevaks of the V.H.P. And it was due to these kar kevaks from Compartment no S-6 that the incident occurred.
If you have read my previous message, it is crystal clear that ISLAM condemns killing innocents. Muslims only attack in self defense, for example when you kidnap their daughters infront of them, you will face retaliation. In the same manner, at first they asked those karsevaks to leave the girl, but instead of returning back the girl, those V.H.P cowards just shut the doors and windows of the compartment. Even though the shameless cowards of V.H.P. committed such a crime of kidnapping a girl, we muslims as a whole CONDEMN burning the train which resulted in the death of innocent people.
Dont think that your bribed and false testimonies of the Nanavati commission can fool every tom, dick and harry.
Moreover, THE GUJARAT FORENSIC Laboratory report was filed on May 17, 2002. It concluded several things:
• THERE WERE ENOUGH high impact marks on the side of the train to uphold eyewitness and survivors accounts of intense stone pelting.
• CONTRARY TO THE theories floating around till then, coach S-6 could not have been burnt by inflammable liquid thrown through the window or the door.
• THERE WAS NO sign of corrosive fluid, like acid, in the fire (contrary to what several karsevaks had claimed).

Q: If, as you say, Modi was responsible for your son’s death, how do you think he should be dealt with?
A: Modi, as is well known, has been responsible for the deaths of thousands of innocent Muslims in Gujarat. I also believe that he was responsible for the murder of my son. In that case, shouldn’t he be
punished in the same way as those who are sentenced for murder? What Modi has done, being responsible for the murder of more than 3000 people, is an enormous sin in the eyes of God. Justice demands that he should meet the same fate that he has meted out to the thousands of people who have lost their lives. But that has not happened. The law has not been allowed to take its course. The thousands of Muslims whose relatives were killed in the carnage and I as well, as
Haren’s father, have been deliberately denied justice and Modi continues to rule as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. What sort of democracy is this? If Modi’s fascist dictatorship remains unchecked and if he goes unpunished, I fear the cancer that he is breeding will spread all over India. Modi is worse than mass murderers like Hitler and Slobodan Milosevic of Serbia. His government should have been dismissed long time ago if we are serious about democracy and
justice. If I had my way, I would have sought international summons issued against him for his crimes against humanity.
Modi claims to be a protector of Hinduism but all this is just a trick. He curries favour with Hindu religious leaders to get Hindu votes, but he has no real faith in God his heart. A decade ago, the
well-known scholar Ashish Nandy met Modi when the latter was an RSS-pracharak. Nandy then wrote an article in the ‘Seminar’ journal describing Modi as ‘a textbook case of a fascist and a prospective killer, perhaps even a future mass murderer’. And that is a fact. Last year I sent a letter to the President of India, Abul Kalam, in which I quoted Modi as declaring that ‘Every Muslim of this country is a traitor and expected terrorist’. I asked the President what he, as a Muslim, had to say about this. I urged him to take stiff action against Modi for this inhuman and anti-national statement and for the genocide of Muslims that he had engineered. But no action has been taken. Such is the state of this so-called ‘democratic’ country that claims to be the largest ‘democracy’ in the world.
Q: Whom do you hold responsible for Haren Pandya’s death?
A:. I am convinced and have reason to believe that Narendra Modi, whom I call a psychic mass killer, was the person behind Haren’s death. Haren, my only son, was found dead in Ahmedabad on 26 March 2003. He was just 42 when he was killed. From day one I have been
insisting that Haren was murdered on the orders of Modi and that is was a politically motivated crime arranged at Modi’s behest. The CBI investigation into his murder is, I have been repeatedly alleging but to no avail, not being conducted in a transparent manner,
free from political interference. My appeals about this continue to go unheeded. A fair investigation can only happen when Modi is removed from the office of Chief Minister, which he continues to occupy even three years after launching a deadly carnage that took
the lives of more than 3000 innocent Muslims. As in Haren’s murder case, justice remains a far cry for the Muslim victims of the genocide.
Q: Some people claim that Haren Pandya was killed by
some Muslim youth. What do you feel?
A: The claim that the instigators of my son’s death were some Muslim youth from Hyderabad is, I believe, completely false. It is a sly way of denying Modi’s hand in the affair and to shift the blame onto hapless Muslims and to spread anti-Muslim hatred. The case of my son’s death should be carried out in public because the public has the right to know the truth. But, the inquiry is being conducted in camera, and I think this is simply in order to save Modi’s skin. Haren was a victim of Modi’s political intrigue and innocent Muslims should not be arrested, harassed or blamed, as they have been, for his killing.
Q: If, as you claim, Modi was behind Haren’s death, why do you think he wanted him out of his way?
A: Modi saw Haren as a major challenge to his authority and viewed him as his main political rival. He may have felt that by doing away with Haren he could silence all other rivals, within and without the
BJP, because they would be too scared to speak out against him. There was growing dissatisfaction in BJP ranks in Gujarat with Modi and so the message that was probably sought to be sent out was that those who dared to speak out against Modi would meet the same
fate. Modi detested Haren for his uprightness. When Haren was the state revenue Minister he took stern action against land-sharks, including some of Modi’s cronies, who had illegally acquired properties worth crores of rupees and this Modi could not stomach.
Another factor behind Haren’s killing, I believe, was his clear-cut moral position on the murder of thousands of Muslims following the burning of the train carriage in Godhra on 27 February 2002. Haren
believed that the Godhra incident should be limited to Godhra alone and should not be used, as Modi did, to spread murder all over Gujarat. He was opposed to Modi’s use of the Godhra incident to launch an anti-Muslim genocide and to garner Hindu votes. He was
vehemently opposed to Modi’s fascist agenda. He told me, in great anguish, that he heard of a confidential meeting apparently held by Modi and attended by some ministers, senior bureaucrats and police officers on 27 February 2002, in which, he said, Modi instructed
police officials to remain inactive in the face of the anti-Muslim carnage that was launched with active state connivance the next day. Haren very specifically mentioned before the Iyer Commission that Modi had set off this anti-Muslim genocide. Modi did not like
Haren’s opposition to the genocide. Haren told me that Modi asked him to apologise but he refused to. This further added to Modi’s hatred for Haren and made him, I believe, conspire to have him killed.

(3) Similarly, Human Rights Watch reported that “in the days that followed February 28, hundreds of youths brandishing swords, daggers, axes, and iron rods were seen shouting ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and roaming roads lined with gutted shops and littered with burned trucks, rickshaws, and other vehicles.” (4)
Sexual violence and police complicity
The report sponsored by the Citizens’ Initiative contains more than 30 pages of testimonials from female victims and eyewitnesses to the violence based on investigations conducted at the end of March. Among its findings is the fact that crimes against women have been grossly underreported and under-recorded by the police.

What Qur’an Teaches:
Quran tells Muslims to kill the disbelievers wherever they find them (2:191), murder them and treat them harshly (9:123), slay them (9:5), fight with them (8:65 ), strive against them with great endeavor (25:52), be stern with them because they belong to hell (66:9) strike off their heads; then after making a “wide slaughter among them, carefully tie up the remaining captives” for ransom (Q;47:4). This is just a token of what Quran says should be done to the unbelievers.
As for the Christians and the Jews, the order is to subdue them and impose on them a penalty tax and let them go not before humiliating them (9:29).
Quran is alien to freedom of belief and recognizes no other religion but Islam (3:85). It relegates those who disbelieve in Islam to hell (5:10), calls them najis (filthy, untouchable, impure) (9:28) and orders the Muslims to fight them until no other religion except Islam is left. (2:193) It encourages the Muslims to strive with might and main those who resist and fight back. According to the Quran they are mischief doers and the punishment such people is: “execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter; 5:33
The Quran stresses that the disbelievers shall have a great punishment in the world hereafter” (5:34) and quite descriptively depicts a horrendous chastisement for them stating that there they will drink boiling water, (14:17) that they will be engulfed in smoke and flames like the wall and the roof of a tent and if they implore relief they will be granted water like melting brass, that will scald their faces, (18:29) and that “garments of fire shall be cut and there shall be poured over their heads boiling water whereby whatever is in their bowels and skin shall be dissolved and they will be punished with hooked iron rods” (22:19).
The Quran vehemently prohibits the Muslims to associate with their own brothers and fathers if they are non-believers (9:23), (3:28).
As for the women the book of Allah says that they are inferior to men and they must obey their husbands, otherwise their husbands are advised to “admonish them, refuse to share their beds, beat them” (Q;4:34). But the punishment does not end there, because after the uppity woman dies, she will go to hell (Q;66:10), says the prophet of Alah.
Quran emphasizes the superiority of men over women by confirming that men have an advantage over the women (Q;2:228). It not only denies the women’s equal right to their inheritance (Q;4:11-12), it also regards them as imbeciles and decrees that their witness is not admissible in the court of law unless it is accompanied with the witness of a man and that two women’s witness is equal to one man’s witness (Q;2:282). This means that a woman who is raped cannot accuse her rapist unless she can produce a male witness. Muhammad allowed the Muslims to marry up to four wives (although he himself had a score of them) Some interpreters claim there is no such limitation in the Quran, and the verse 4:3, that says “Marry women of your choice, Two or three or four;” should be read as marry one, two, three, four, etc, and this verse does not put any limits to the number of wives a man can have.
Muhammad gave Muslim men the license to enjoy their “right-hand possessions” (women captured in wars) as many as they can capture or afford to buy (Q;4:3), even if they (the captive women) are already married to someone else (Q;4:24).
This is just the tip of the iceberg. There are hundreds of verses in the Quran that call for violence, hate and war. Some Muslims claim that the violent verses of the Quran should be read in their context. However, the fact is that violence IS the context of the Quran. There are so many violent verses that they leave no doubt about their intent. Would a real God incite us to kill other peoples?

Men Are Maintainers of Women and Superior to Them.
Muhammad, not only took away the women’s freedom of dress, he made them subservient to men and dependant on them. He wrote:
”Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded.” [6]
The above verse reduces woman into the livestock of man giving him the authority to maintain her as if she were his donkey or camel. Sadly, Khadija did not live long enough to remind her beloved husband that when he married her, she was the maintainer of him who spent out of her property.
In another place he expressly states that men have a degree of advantage over women.
“And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them, according to what is equitable; but men have a degree (of advantage) over them.” [7]
Muhammad did everything he could to make women subservient to their husbands. According to him women who do not obey their husbands would go to hell.
The Prophet said “I also saw the Hell-fire and I had never seen such a horrible sight. I saw that most of the inhabitants were women.” The people asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! Why is it so?” The Prophet replied, “Because of their ungratefulness.” It was asked whether they are ungrateful to Allah. The Prophet said, “They are ungrateful to their companions of life (husbands) and ungrateful to good deeds. If you are benevolent to one of them throughout the life and if she sees anything (undesirable) in you, she will say, ‘I have never had any good from you.’ ” [8]
Men Can Beat Their Wives
Muhammad instructed men to beat their wives if they are not obedient.
”and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in the sleeping-places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.” [9]
Mishkat al-Masabih narrates: “the above verse was revealed in connection with a woman who complained to Mohammad that her husband slapped her on the face (which was still marked by the slap). At first the Prophet said to her: ‘Get even with him’, but then added: ‘Wait until I think about it.’ Later on the above verse was revealed, after which the Prophet said: ‘We wanted one thing but Allah wanted another, and what Allah wanted is best.'” [10]
Maybe on the spur of the moment and faced with this obvious injustice, Muhammad was moved by a fleeting rash of compassion, but that did not last very long. Soon he thought about the implications of what he had said and how this would affect his own relationship with his rebellious wives. So he made his Allah issue that shamefully unjust verse giving men the liberty to beat their wives to make them obedient.
As it is clear from the above verse, a woman does not have to disobey her husband in order to be beaten. Her husband can beat her only if he FEARS that she may disobey her. As Irshah Manji in “The trouble with Islam: writes (p34 regarding 4:34) “To deserve a beating, a woman doesn’t have to disobey anybody, a man merely has to fear her disobedience. His insecurity becomes her problem”
Good women do not complain if their husbands beat them:
“Narrated Abdullah ibn AbuDhubab: Iyas ibn Abdullah ibn AbuDhubab reported the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) as saying: Do not beat Allah’s handmaidens, but when Umar came to the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) and said: Women have become emboldened towards their husbands, he (the Prophet) gave permission to beat them. Then many women came round the family of the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) complaining against their husbands. So the Apostle of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: Many women have gone round Muhammad’s family complaining against their husbands. They are not the best among you.” [Muslim 11:2141]
The husband does not have to explain to anyone why he beats his wife.
“Narrated Umar ibn al-Khattab: The Prophet (peace_be_upon_him) said: A man will not be asked as to why he beat his wife.” [Muslim 11:2142]
Muhammad went as far as to say women should prostrate in front of their husbands:
“If I were to command anyone to make prostration before another I would command women to prostrate themselves before their husbands, because of the special right over them given to husbands by Allah.” [11]
In a hadith Aisha narrated one night Muhammad, left her home after he thought she is asleep. She secretly followed her and when he came back and saw she was panting, he inquired where she had gone. [Poor man was extremely paranoid whether his wives were cheating]. He told her if she concealed what she was doing the “Subtle and the Aware” [ghosts] would inform him. Aisha says that when I confessed that I had followed him, “He struck me on the chest which caused me pain,” [Muslim4.2127 ]
Women’s Deficiencies.
A hadith reports one meeting that Muhammad had with women where he called them “deficient in intelligence and religion”:
”Once Allah’s Apostle went out to the Musalla (to offer the prayer) o ‘Id-al-Adha or Al-Fitr prayer. Then he passed by the women and said, “O women! Give alms, [this money would go to him as the viceroy of God on Earth and he would distribute it to those whose favor he was seeking or to make the show of generosity] as I have seen that the majority of the dwellers of Hell-fire were you (women).” They asked, “Why is it so, O Allah’s Apostle ?” He replied, “You curse frequently and are ungrateful to your husbands. I have not seen anyone more deficient in intelligence and religion than you. A cautious sensible man could be led astray by some of you.” The women asked, “O Allah’s Apostle! What is deficient in our intelligence and religion?” He said, “Is not the evidence of two women equal to the witness of one man?” They replied in the affirmative. He said, “This is the deficiency in her intelligence. Isn’t it true that a woman can neither pray nor fast during her menses?” The women replied in the affirmative. He said, “This is the deficiency in her religion.” [12]
The above is a flagrant case of misogyny where Muhammad commits the travesty of first taking the rights of the women away and then condemning them for not having those rights. Not only he injures, but he adds insult to the injury by blaming the victim. This hadith is reported by various narrators and is also recorded in Sahih Muslim, which makes it one of the most authoritative hadiths of Muhammad.
Women Are Created For Men.
The Quran says:
“And of His signs is that He created for you, of yourselves, spouses, that you may repose in them” [30.21]
The Arabic text makes it clear that “for you” is masculine, meaning the verse is addressing men and “them” is in feminine gender. (In fact Allah in the Quran never addresses women directly. He always speaks to the Prophet or the male believers. Women are always referred to in third person.) What this verse is conveying is that women are created FOR men and are for their enjoyment.
The great Islamic scholar, Fakhr al-Din al-Razi (not to be confused with Razes, who was a freethinker and mocked Muhammad and other prophets) in At-Tafsir al-Kabir, commenting on Q. 30:21wrote:
“His saying ‘created for you’ is a proof that women were created like animals and plants and other useful things, just as the Most High has said ‘He created for you what is on earth’ and that necessitates the woman not to be created for worship and carrying the Divine commands. We say creating the women is one of the graces bestowed upon us and charging them with Divine commands to complete the graces bestowed upon us, not that they are charged as we men are charged. For women are not charged with many commands as we are charged, because the woman is weak, silly, in one sense she is like a child, and no commands are laid upon a child, but for the grace of Allah upon us to be complete, women had to be charged so that they may fear the torment of punishment and so follow her husband, and keep away from what is forbidden, otherwise corruption would be rampant.”
Hadi Sabzevari, an eminent Muslim scholar, in his commentary on another grand Muslim thinker, Sadr al-Mote’alihin wrote:
That Sadr ad-Deen Shirazi classifies women as animals is a delicate allusion to the fact that women, due to the deficiency in their intelligence and understanding of intricacies, and due to their fondness of the adornments of the world, are truly and justly among the mute animals [al-haywanti al-sa^mita]. They have the nature of beasts [ad-dawwa^b], but they have been given the disguise of human beings so that men would not be loath to talk to them and be compelled to have sexual intercourse with them. That is why our immaculate Law [shar’ina al-mutahhar] takes men’s side and gives them superiority in most matters, including divorce, “nushuz,” etc. [14]
These scholars did not made these derogatory remarks about women without knowledge. They were interpreting the sayings of Muhammad whom to them was the best messenger of God and an example to follow. The reference to the inferiority of woman and their deficiency in intelligence and religion is abounding in the Hadith and the Quran.
Naqisatan ‘aqlan wa dinan (deficient in intelligence and religion), an Arab aphorism, is an allusion to women that stems from the sayings of Muhammad.
Women Who Refuse Sex Will Be Cursed by Angels
The following Hadith also makes it clear that women are created for men and for their satisfaction.
”Allah’s Apostle said, “If a husband calls his wife to his bed (i.e. to have sexual relation) and she refuses and causes him to sleep in anger, the angels will curse her till morning.” [15]
The above makes one wonder, whether Allah has nothing better to do than worrying about the sexual pleasures of Muslim men! It seems absurd that God would employ a host of angels to do nothing but sit around and curse the women who do not sexually please their husbands. To curse means invoking the wrath of God. Why would God need so many angles to invoke his wrath on frigid women when he can punish them his own? There seems to be a lot of redundancies and mismanagements up there. It is like the president of a country, have his staff lobby him for the plans that he wants to put into action. It just makes no sense. If these angels are paid then this is a complete waste of divine funds and if they are not paid then it is slavery. You can’t say the angels do this voluntarily because the angles do nothing without the will of Allah. There are more hadiths on this subject:
“Abu Huraira (Allah be pleased with him) reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: By Him in Whose Hand is my life, when a man calls his wife to his bed, and she does not respond, the One Who is in the heaven is displeased with her until he (her husband) is pleased with her.” [16]
And
“The Prophet said, “If a woman spends the night deserting her husband’s bed (does not sleep with him), then the angels send their curses on her till she comes back (to her husband).” [17]
It is hard to determine why Muhammad was so concerned about this issue. Perhaps it helps to remember that he was an old man when his numerous wives were mostly teenagers or in their early twenties. His teeth must have been decaying and his mouth had a foul smell. As I have shown in Understanding Muhammad, he emitted a foul smell that he tried to mask with abundance of perfume. He was also impotent. It is natural to assume that his young wives were not that much desirous to share their bed with an old, smelly and impotent man like him. Is it possible that Muhammad concocted these stories to intimidate his young wives not to reject his sexual advances, when he wanted to “fondle” them? Or do you think Allah is also a pimp?
According to the Prophet of Allah, a man’s sexual urges are such an emergency that his wife must leave her food burn in the oven rather than leave him alone in bed with an erection.
The prophet of Allah said: When a man calls his wife to satisfy his desire, let her come to him though she is occupied at the oven.” [18]
Imagine kids coming home:

– Oh, I am sorry, but the dinner is burnt.
– Ah agaaaaain?
– Yes my dear. Daddy had an emergency, which mommy had to attend to.
– But Mom, you said the same also yesterday.
– I know my sweet heart. Daddy lately spends a lot of time on the Internet.
Women are Pudenda?!!
As if all these derogatory remarks about women were not enough, Muhammad even compared them to pudenda.
Ali reported the Prophet saying: ‘Women have ten (‘awrat). When she gets married, the husband covers one, and when she dies the grave covers the ten.[19]
What is ‘awrat? ..The Encyclopedia of Islam defines ‘awrat as pudendum, that is “the external genitals, especially of the female. [Latin pudendum (literally) a thing to be ashamed of]”[20]
According to the following Hadith, women not only have ten ‘awrat, but the woman herself is perceived as ‘awrah:
“The woman is ‘awrah. When she goes outside (the house), the devil welcomes her.” [21]
Women are discouraged from going outside the house, even to pray in the mosque.
“A woman is closest to God’s face, if she is found in the core of her house. And the prayer of the woman in the house is better than her prayer in the mosque.”[22]
This is a far cry from the time when Arabs respected women, listened to their advices and followed them as leaders and prophetesses. Gradually, as the new generations were indoctrinated with the teachings of the new revelation they became scornful of women and eventually Muslim women lost their rights in the society, along with their dignity.
Women Have Less Legal Rights
The “deficiency of women” in intelligence affects their legal rights as well.
And call in to witness two witnesses, men; or if the two be not men, then one man and two women, such witness as you approve of, that if one woman errs the other will remind her. Q. 2:282
In other words not only a woman alone cannot witness against a criminal, if there is no male witness, the testimonies of any number of women without the testimony of a man are worthless. This means that if a woman is raped and she cannot produce any male witnesses, (which is logically almost always the case) she cannot witness against her assailant. However, her testimony can be regarded as confession of fornication and can be used against her. Also if the victim of rape becomes pregnant, that is evidence of the adultery and she could be charged and punished with death by stoning. A few years ago Amina Lawal was sentenced by the Islamic courts of Nigeria to be stoned as soon as her infant was weaned. The father of the child could not be charged with adultery because her testimony was not enough. This case came to the attention of the world public and eventually the Islamic courts had to back off, but thousands of such cases have happened and continue to happen, and injustice is made against women, without ever anyone hearing of them.
Women Inherit Less
Muslim apologists claim that prior to Islam women had no rights at all and received no inheritance. This is not so. Khadija received her wealth through inheritance. When Muhammad decided that women should receive half of the inheritance of what their blood brothers receive, women did not celebrate with joy.
Allah (thus) directs you as regards your Children’s (Inheritance): to the male, a portion equal to that of two females. 4.11
As a matter of fact many, including one of his own wives complained that this arrangement is unfair to women.
Umme Salmah (RA) said: “O Messenger of Allâh! The men wage Jihad [can collect booty] whereas we (women) do not and we receive half the inheritance.” (i.e. blood-brothers receive double the share of blood sisters). Thereafter the verse “And do not covet…. 4.32.” was revealed.” [23]
And in no wise covet those things in which Allah Hath bestowed His gifts More freely on some of you than on others: To men is allotted what they earn, and to women what they earn. 4.32
If they complained, it is clear that their rights had been taken away from them. This suffices as proof that women prior to Islam had more rights to inheritance than what Muhammad allotted to them.
Muhammad’s Opinion of Women
The Prophet of Allah had such a low regard for women that he compared them to tilth or farmland and said you can enter your tilth from wherever you like (ana she’tom).
Your wives are as a tilth unto you; so approach your tilth when or how ye will… 2.223 (This is the exact translation. Often the translations made by Muslims are sanitized)
It is not proper to be more descriptive, but it is obvious that the word ana she’tom (from wherever) allows a man to enter a woman from every penetrable orifice. The above led Muslims to regard women as nothing but toys created to appease men.
‘Umar was once talking when his wife interjected, so he said to her: ‘You are a toy, if you are needed we will call you.'[24]
The most eminent Islamic scholar a Ghazzali said:
In the company of women, looking at them, and playing with them, the soul is refreshed, the heart is rested, and the man is strengthened to the worship of God…this is why God said: ‘That he might rest in her.’ (Q. 7:189) [25]
The verse that Ghazzali refers to is: Verse 7.189
It is He Who created you from a single person, and made his mate of like nature, in order that he might dwell with her (rest in her).
It is obvious that Muhammad did not have much reverence for women.
The Prophet said, “After me I have not left any affliction more harmful to men than women.” [26]
In another place he compares women to a crooked rib.
Woman is like a rib. When you attempt to straighten it, you would break it. And if you leave her alone you would benefit by her, and crookedness will remain in her. [27]
This hadith is classified as “agreed upon” because it is reported by other collectors of hadith too. In another hadith he said:
The woman advances and retires in the shape of a devil, so when one of you sees a woman, he should come to his wife, for that will repel what he feels in his heart. [28]

The verse asks women to guard even when unnoticed, that which God has asked them to guard. If we have read the Koran carefully, we won’t have trouble in determining that God specifically asks women and men to “guard” their chastity (Koran 24:30-31). To the women who cheat on their husbands, the Koran gives a three step, braking mechanism to hasty divorce or worse still capital punishment for adultery.
Step one, the husband should talk to the wife and try to resolve it. Usually, given men’s image in popular culture, step one would normally be shouting and cursing and maybe even hitting. Around four million women in the US are severally battered each year. Two to four thousand of them die. Rather unfortunate and avoidable if a braking mechanism exists for people exercising their emotions. Contrary to this, the Koran suggests that talk be the first option.
Step two, the Koran recommends that marital relations be temporarily stopped between the couple, if cheating persists even after a talk. This would give the woman further opportunity to consider if she’d rather separate from the man and provide for herself after divorce or if she’d rather stay in the current marriage. If however the couple want to separate, which most people would if there was cheating going on, the Koran states in the next verse:
“And if you fear a breach between the two (husband and wife), appoint an arbiter from his family and an arbiter from her family. If they(husband and wife) desire amendment, God will make them of one mind. For God is Knowing and is Aware (Koran 4:35).”
If however, the woman wants to stay with the man but doesn’t quit cheating, i.e. break up the extra marital relationship then the Koran says resort to Step three, which is implicitly for the woman’s own benefit especially in an economically harsh environment. In step three, the Koran says hit them. The word used signifies a single symbolic hit. The word hit in the verse does not represent beating up in any way. It is not supposed to injure the woman but is meant to be symbolic. Thus the same word Darab,is used in the Koran to “strike or hit” someone with an example, Darab al imsal (Koran 66:11). If it injures the woman than the woman according to law can have the authorities retaliate against the man as he would have broken the law, as for injury there is equal retribution according to the Koran [Koran 5:45].
Here is the situation that warrants step three: the woman doesn’t want to end the current marriage and also doesn’t want to put an end to her cheating episodes, the Koran suggests that the husband strike her, for her own benefit. This is very liberal. The woman on her own would be under financial hardship and so she wants to use the current marriage relationship. However she also doesn’t want to quit cheating on her husband. People, men or women normally aren’t so forgiving as to keep the marriage and accept that the other party remains cheating. Something has to be done to make the relationship compatible, after both talking and temporarily halting marital relationship hasn’t worked. However, in all sincerity, I can state confidently that step 3 will never arise since both the man and the woman are free to end the relationship during the course of step 1 and step 2.
The Koran by making the symbolic hit step 3 is actually controlling human emotions of hitting, which usually come before talking and reasoning. It makes it virtually impossible that a man going through 1 and 2 will resort to 3 also and not break the marriage before. Where there are difficulties that need to be settled, the Koran provides a very modern and just arbitration system (see above Koran 4:35). The Koran is concerned to the utmost about women’s rights. Human society has usually not given equal opportunity to women, even today in the west. The Koran wants to protect women in a harsh society and at the same time change men’s “control-oriented” minds to one that is more reasonable. The method the Koran uses is more result oriented than dogmatic, where both parties are dealt with equitably and with justice.
By making hitting step 3 the Koran effectively controls the anger emotion that is often spontaneous in such situations. Good reasoning and communication, arbitration to settle differences and short suspension of marital relations should effectively do away with any tendency to hit. The Koran is thus not just putting a count of ten between a man and his anger but days and weeks between it. It thus gives anger and mistrusts a long time and a systematic procedure to get reasonable resolved.

Even if divorce separates a man from his wife, he has to seek her help in caring for the child or another female if the mother agrees (Koran 2:233). Men are told to spend of their property on women and not ask the woman for anything even if she happens to be rich.
The concept of dowry is not there in ISLAM. HERE THE MAN HAS TO GIVE HER MEHER – A PARTICULAR AMOUNT ACCORDING TO HIS FININCIAL ABILITY.
“And give women their Mehar as a Gift”

In Islam Nikah is in which a woman regards husband in lieu of Mehar.
Abi Jafar Imam Mohammad al Baqir says:
“Nikah is a contract according to which the husband would keep his wife with good manners, and whenever he terminates the contract of Nikah, he should so do with kindness”.
From the point of view of Islam, Mehar is an important matter. In the Qur’an, which is the primary source of Religious Injunctions this matter has been clarified at several places and Mehar has been defined as Wajib.

Some Zanadiqa (atheists) were brought to ‘Ali and he burnt them. The news of this event, reached Ibn ‘Abbas who said, “If I had been in his place, I would not have burnt them, as Allah’s Apostle forbade it, saying, ‘Do not punish anybody with Allah’s punishment (fire).’ I would have killed them according to the statement of Allah’s Apostle, ‘Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.'”

8:15-16, O ye who believe! when ye meet the Unbelievers in hostile array, never turn your backs to them. If any do turn his back to them on such a day – unless it be in a stratagem of war, or to retreat to a troop (of his own)- he draws on himself the wrath of Allah, and his abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed)!
8:17, It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah: when thou threwest (a handful of dust), it was not thy act, but Allah’s: in order that He might test the Believers by a gracious trial from Himself
8:60, Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.
8:65, O Prophet! rouse the Believers to the fight. If there are twenty amongst you, patient and persevering, they will vanquish two hundred: if a hundred, they will vanquish a thousand of the Unbelievers (AND I AM A FOOL TO MISQUOTE AND ‘MISUNDERSTAND’ this “CLEAR BOOK”)
There are 124 verses in the Quran which teach TOLERANCE AND PEACE but they were revealed when Muhammad and his followers were in a minority. Much more than them are hostile violent and full of hatred. These verses (LIKE CHAPTER 2 Verse 256 saying: “No compulsion in Religion” etc are EARLY MECCAN VERSES. They are ABROGATED AND CANCELLED by later MEDICAN VERSES which are very violent. The Quran says that in case of ambiguity follow the one which COMES LATER (“WE replace verses with better verses”). Since Chapter 9 REPENTANCE comes last and is FULL OF VIOLENT VERSES, all peaceful verses are cancelled.
There is a concept called “Abrogation” in the Quran , and that is: The Quran was (supposedly) revealed to Muhammad in a sequence of events, the latter verses supercede and nullifies the earlier verses.
Out of the whole Quran, there are 124 verses that teach some tolerence towards non-Muslims…but here is the striking fact….all of these verses are void, and were abrogated by the last verse (supposedly) revealed upon Muhammad, and that is verse 9:5 listed above
Suyuti (One of the most respected authorities in Islam) in his book “Istenbat al tanzeel” says: “Every thing in the Qur’an about forgiveness is abrogated by verse 9:5.”
Al-Shawkani in his book “Alsaylu Jarar” (4:518-519) says: “Islam is unanimous about fighting the unbelievers and forcing them to Islam or submitting and paying Jiziah (special tax paid only by Christians or Jews) or being killed. [The verses] about forgiving them are abrogated unanimously by the obligation of fighting in any case.”
Finally here is what Muhammad the prophet of Islam himself said:
Ibn Haban in his Sahih, vol. 14, p. 529, narrates: Muhammad said: “I swear by Him who has my soul in his hands, I was sent to you with nothing but slaughter.”
